Question:
I wanted to marry a girl/get a job/some other things 20 years ago. But now I have grown up and I don’t want it anymore (often we don’t even remember it). So does that mean its corresponding Karma has washed away or am I still carrying the Karma deep somewhere?
Answer:
Many possibilities are there dear:
• Sometimes our karma gets washed away by just being in Satsang & Knowledge.
• Sometimes it gets washed away by experiencing the world & recognizing the futility of it all.
• Sometimes the expiry date of the karma approaches & you lose interest.
• Sometimes it is not yet over, it may be lying low for awhile just to pick up its hood & strike when you are unaware.
Gahana Karmano gati – Unfathomable are the ways of Karma! You can never pinpoint which karma will bear which karmaphalam at which time. So drop this interest to understand it. Just ensure that you refrain from creating new agami karmas by dropping raaga & dvesha as soon as they arise.
